All this leaves some modest questions and the key question

• I may never learn why my clock seemed to drift away from the other servers, but it appears they're generally in sync with one another.
• I would like to know why the ACTS systems jump around so much compared to the GPS systems.
• And I'd like to know why the colorado.edu site is so out of sync with the others.
• One would expect the phone delay between the CU campus and NIST (about a mile away) would be small and fixed.
• All-in-all this has emphasized something I came across while studying celestial navigation:
